Meet Ester Skála: The Enchanting Voice of Pink-Pop
The redheaded girl with the big curly hair is Ester Skála, an independent and fully Faroese artist. She's written songs since the age of 13, with music being her way of expressing her feelings.

She writes pink-pop music with a fusion of hyper pop influence. Ester’s lyrics are usually simple, yet poetic, expressionistic, based on the feelings of love and often speaks about life’s various situations. Ester loves pink and invites her listeners into her pink-pop sonic universe.

A Journey to Recognition
In 2021 she released her first single, Unicorn. The song won an FMA award (Faroese music award) by vote of the Faroese population. It was a success and a very special time for Ester! She released her second single, Spotlight, which was nominated for an FMA award a year after.

Recent Highlights
Along with Ester’s very gifted, trustworthy and talented band members. They have graced numerous stage across the Faroe Islands.
In 2024 she performed at a number of festivals in the Faroe Islands and participated in Another standout moment was her participation in Pan-ArcticVision often dubbed the “Eurovision for the North,” where she performed alongside artists from Alaska, Nunavut, Greenland, Iceland, and the Sami region of Scandinavia.

Looking ahead to 2025, Ester is set to release an exciting EP and participate in more festivals and events, further expanding her artistic reach.
