Bergur Løkke Rasmussen is a Danish politician from the governing party Moderates, with experience at both regional and European levels. At the age of 17, he joined the youth wing of the Liberal Party (Venstre) and was elected to the Regional Council of the Capital Region of Denmark in 2013. He was re-elected in 2021 and became a member of the European Parliament in 2022. Alongside his political career, he has studied International Business at Copenhagen Business School and serves as a reserve officer in the Danish Army. Bergur is also a passionate gamer, advocating for the regulation of gaming and e-sports, including protecting young people from loot boxes and promoting an inclusive gaming culture. At the same time, he aims to support the gaming industry by ensuring better frameworks and encouraging investments in innovative gaming projects that can strengthen the industry both economically and culturally.
