Innovating Within Boundaries: Turning Market Constraints into Strategic Advantages
Snorri Danielsen is the Programme Director for Digitization at Føroya Banki, leading the bank's digital transformation. He developed and implemented the bank’s digital strategy, establishing a strong foundation and delivering impactful innovations aligned with strategic priorities—including launching the first-ever chatbot capable of understanding and communicating in Faroese.
Having worked with innovation within both large-scale institutions such as Lloyds Banking Group in the UK and smaller, agile organizations like Føroya Banki, Snorri’s international experience across the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Denmark, and the UK has equipped him with unique insights into how organizational size, scale, and cultural context influence innovation.
Snorri holds an MBA from Henley Business School, UK, and is passionate about leveraging the unique opportunities smaller markets offer—such as fostering meaningful connections and rapidly aligning stakeholders—to innovate effectively. He firmly believes in innovation driven by a clear purpose: solving real problems for customers and organizations, rather than implementing technology for technology's sake.
