Innovating for the future of the Ocean Economy
Thordur Reynisson is a senior adviser at Nordic Innovation, where he also heads the Sustainable Ocean Economy programme. He holds an LLM degree from McGill University and has considerable experience in complex project management, innovation investments, and resource management. He is a firm believer of Nordic cooperation and strives to make the Nordics the most sustainable and integrated region in the world.
Thordur and Emil will be hosting a captivating discussion on Innovating for the future of the Ocean Economy. This theme ties into the Nordic Oceans 2050 project, which deals with future scenarios for the Nordic Ocean economy and should be more than halfway to completion by the beginning of May 2025. The discussion of future scenarios can also be combined with insights into ocean financing, ocean tech, and/or ocean innovations more broadly. The talks will focus on how the North Atlantic region can best prepare for and make the most of current and future trends, whether these trends are understood as opportunities or as threats.
