The ITC Association

Aim

The main task of the ITC Association is to be a joint platform for the businesses and to promote the interests of the Faroese ITC industry. The Association represents a large majority of the ITC companies in the Faroes.

The main activities are:

Buy FøroysKT

The association encourages local buyers within the public and private sectors to purchase local ITC solutions. The ICT association points out the benefits of having a strong ICT industry as society becomes increasingly digitalized.

Representation

To represent the sectors interests towards relevant authorities and to lobby authorities and politicians so that laws and regulations serve the interests of the sector.

Education

The association works towards having a wide range of ITC related educations within the Faroese education system.

When needed the association organizes seminars and courses with the purpose to improve qualifications and competences in the sector.
